Axial Performance of Cementitious Grouted Cable Bolts Under Rotation Constraint Scenarios

Abstract With the increased use of cable bolts in mining and civil projects worldwide, it is important to understanding performance these support structures different scenarios. The axial load transfer mechanisms six were investigated experimentally this research study. A large-scale pull-out testing apparatus with a capacity 1000 kN was designed manufactured as part investigation. common commercial cementitious grout uniaxial compressive strength 60 MPa used encapsulate 300 mm length samples. Passive confinement encapsulated each sample ensure concrete’s integrity during testing. then subjected loads using hydraulic ram, displacement measured cell LVDTs. Two scenarios investigated: free rotation restricted rotation. results demonstrated that effectively recorded behaviour identified radial stiffness samples had significant impact on overall system. also indicated limited influence tested.
